Functional Title: Director of Audiology Clinical Operations Callier Center Department: Salary Range: Negotiable Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Posting Open Date: 03/19/2025 Open Until Filled: Yes Desired Start Date: 05/01/2025 Job Summary The Director of Audiology Clinical Operations at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders will be responsible for all clinical service activities in the Callier Audiology Clinic including overseeing scheduling, insurance and financial analyses for the clinic in collaboration with the Director of Business Operations and the Director of Administrative Operations and Compliance. The Director will participate in clinical teaching of AuD students in the Callier Clinic and may teach in the AuD Academic Program. The Director will also consult with Callier Center Leadership, including the Senior Director of Development on fund raising, clinical grant writing and marketing strategies for the audiology program. The successful candidate must be eligible for or hold a Texas License in Audiology. The Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA) is preferred. Minimum Education and Experience Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree or in closely related field. Holds current Audiology license in the state of Texas or can obtain by the date of hire. Eight (8) years of progressive clinical experience as a licensed Audiologist, at least three (3) of which must include being the direct supervisor of other licensed clinical Audiologists. Preferred Education and Experience 9 years of clinical experience in providing audiology services. 3 years of progressively responsible leadership or administrative experience. The Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA) is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all clinical service activities in the Callier Center Audiology program, including continuous quality management for Audiology clinical services. Coordinate and participate in clinical teaching in the Callier Audiology clinic in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education for students in the doctor of audiology (AuD) program at the University of Texas at Dallas. Manage a team of 10 clinical audiologists and 3 audiology assistants at two clinic locations. Oversee scheduling, insurance, financial analysis, and reports for the audiology clinic. Coordinate audiology educational contracts with local school districts. Facilitate student and faculty research activities that require patient recruitment in the Callier audiology clinic. Participate in clinical research and clinical innovation within the Callier Center. Participate in fund raising and grant writing with the Callier Center for Communication Disorders Development team.
