So, what will the Archived Records Specialist at Terrestris do? The ** Archived Records Specialist ** role is integral to delivering exceptional customer service for the G-1, specifically in assisting current and former service members with the retrieval of their archived records. This position requires a strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to effectively navigate military records rules and procedures. The role involves managing personnel and medical record requests, ensuring timely and compliant retrieval, processing, and distribution of these records, while maintaining strict confidentiality and data protection standards. What does a typical day look like for a Archived Records Specialist? The Archived Records Specialist's day is dynamic. The role involves retrieving and processing personnel and medical records from systems like iPERMS and HRR, responding to inquiries from service members and the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), and ensuring records are distributed in compliance with ARNG guidelines. The professional also conducts quality control checks on records, updates tracking systems, and handles administrative tasks such as preparing reports and managing correspondence. The day is focused on maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines, and providing excellent customer service. What qualifications do you look for? You might be the person we're looking for if you have: Proven experience in records management, archival services, or a related field. Strong understanding of military records systems, including iPERMS, HRR, and SRAS. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data protection standards. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other tracking systems. Strong research, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
