General Manager Miami, FL

Competitive compensation package: $76,000 $95,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all contractual services, including administrative functions, information systems, parts purchasing, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies, including First Quality Management (FQM) requirements.
  • Ensure services are provided within budget and develop action plans to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain company and contractual assets (vehicles, facilities, inventories, tools, and equipment).
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT, ADA, and EEOC).
  • Analyze, prepare, and develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Negotiate operating budgets and contractual terms with customers.
  • Assess resource needs, problems, and trends and plan accordingly.
  • Develop action plans to ensure customer retention.
  • Assure a safe working environment.
  • Promote effective communications with customers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to develop location and company initiatives.
  • Establish training goals and requirements for all personnel.
  • Satisfy client, corporate, and contractual reporting requirements and needs.
  • Assist in technical sales support and develop sales leads.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years fleet management/maintenance leadership experience.
  • Light Duty and/or Heavy-Duty Vehicle Repair maintenance experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in Business or related field strongly preferred.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Evidence of building solid relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and continuously motivate highly effective teams.
  • Successful track record in managing budgets and/or P&L responsibility.
  • Ability to interface with agencies, directors, elected officials, operators, and all levels of employees, including senior management.
  • Self-starter able to obtain successful results without supervision.
  • Capacity to move about the office and between floors; utilize standard office equipment; access filing systems; and communicate effectively in person or by telephone.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for extended periods (up to 68 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances on possible sloped ground or uneven surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally a whole day; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
