Position Title: Follow on Development (FOD) Program Manager

Provides program management support in support of the full acquisition lifecycle of the F-35 program, to include development, production, and sustainment. The FOD Program Manager supports the F-35 Joint Program Office Air Vehicle Program Management Office in its mission in providing lifecycle cost, schedule, and performance of aircraft, avionics, sensors, weapons integration, and modifications in the F-35 Lightning II Enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Air Vehicle (AV) Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the following (duties not all inclusive):

• Assist AV PMO in providing development, production, modifications, and retrofit, and sustainment of the AV.
• Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE) - assist AV PMO in managing the requirements, development, testing, qualification, and sustainment of Below-the-Neck F-35 PFE.
• Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS) - assist AV PMO in managing the development, procurement, and sustainment of F-35 HMDS.
• F-35 Block 4 Modernization - assist AV PMO in providing airborne systems capable of operating effectively in highly contested battle spaces now and in the foreseeable future.
• Development Foundation Contract (DFC) - assist AV PMO in providing manpower and material support to the Integrated Test Force (ITFs) (FTW, NAS Patuxent River, and Edwards AFB) as well as the FTW and Supplier labs to enable F-35 Development, Sustainment, and Production efforts.
• Developmental Test Viability (DTV) - assist AV PMO in providing life limiting modification and Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) sustainment support for the Developmental Test fleet aircraft to enable Block 3 and Block 4 testing.

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business Management or related discipline and 6 years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline; and included in the 6 years, there must be at least 4 years of professional experience related to analysis and planning; and included in the 4 years, there must be 2 years professional experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development. May substitute an Associates Degree with 10 years of experience.
• At least 2 years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program. Demonstrated experience in the program/project status and schedules.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life- cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series).
• Must have experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military aircraft programs both domestic and international.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience dealing with DoD reporting tools and major reports.
