Farmers Insurance is looking for experienced customer service representative in the Chesterfield and St. Charles areas.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and personable and motivated Customer Service Representative (CSR) with prior insurance experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for our existing clients, assisting with inquiries, handling policy adjustments, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. In this fast-paced environment, the CSR plays a crucial role in client retention and agency growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, handling inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service regarding insurance availability, coverage details, policy changes, and billing clarification.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assist clients with the claims submission process and serve as a liaison between the client and the insurance carrier.
• Update and maintain accurate customer records in the agency management system.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell products and refer clients to licensed agents when appropriate.
• Stay up-to-date on industry news, company marketing efforts, and changes to insurance policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license (or a willingness to obtain).
• Experience working as a Customer Service Representative in an insurance agency setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
• A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for helping people.
