As an Armed Security Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of your assigned location while providing excellent customer service. You will observe, patrol, and survey the area, maintaining a vigilant presence to identify any potential security threats. You are responsible for providing timely and accurate reports on activities and incidents occurring at the location.

In addition to monitoring the premises, you will be required to respond rapidly in critical situations, making decisive actions to de-escalate or neutralize any threats. You will be expected to enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards in a professional manner, ensuring that all actions are consistent with company policies and legal requirements. Your ability to read and write detailed reports is crucial for documenting incidents and maintaining thorough records for future reference.

Responsibilities of Special Response/Flex Armed Tactical Security Guard

• Respond swiftly and professionally to emergency situations, including disturbances, threats, and potential criminal activity.
• Monitor access points and perform security checks on vehicles and personnel.
• Maintain a clean motor vehicle record, as you may be required to operate a company vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as necessary to address incidents or security concerns.
• Enforce all company regulations, policies, and procedures while interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide detailed written reports, documenting all incidents and observations accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications of an Armed Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a valid driver license
• Clean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a security vehicle.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• You have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process).
• You have a license and meet any additional requirements to carry a firearm as a security officer in your state.
• Valid armed security license.
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security and de-escalation.
• Ability to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness.
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
