About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Institutional Giving to lead and strengthen philanthropic relationships with key national constituencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage funding entities, with a focus on securing major and principal gifts to support the institution's various programs and priorities. This role requires a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience in institutional giving, preferably in healthcare or cancer. The Executive Director will work closely with senior leadership, faculty, and researchers to foster a culture of institutional fundraising and will be a key member of the leadership team, participating in strategic planning and decision-making. Essential responsibilities for the Executive Director include overseeing the institutional giving programs, staying current with industry trends, and partnering with the foundation relations team to produce grant applications and proposals. The role demands outstanding communication skills, a high level of organization, creativity, and the ability to manage a portfolio of prospects and donors. The ideal candidate will have a teamwork-oriented approach, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to the values of service, gratitude, trust, and partnership. They will also be expected to develop stewardship plans, prepare and manage a programmatic budget, and contribute to a positive work environment.
