About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its fine and performing arts academy, which is dedicated to providing lifelong arts education and performance opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader, deeply committed to the power of the arts and the inclusion and empowerment of individuals with I/DD. This role is pivotal in driving the organization's vision, strategic planning, and fundraising efforts, particularly in the final stages of a major capital campaign. The Executive Director will be the primary external voice, fostering relationships with donors, funders, and community partners, and will also play a key role in championing disability inclusion in the arts both locally and nationally. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of management experience, with a proven track record in fundraising, including major gifts, foundation grants, and capital campaigns. They should be adept at leading complex organizations, particularly in the nonprofit sector, and have a passion for the arts and a belief in the value of people with I/DD. Essential skills include strategic planning, community engagement, and stakeholder stewardship, as well as a calm, clear-headed approach to problem-solving and a commitment to equity and transparent communication. The Executive Director will oversee a talented, mission-driven team, ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organization's programs and operations, and will be responsible for shaping the strategic path forward in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
