We are seeking a full-time event management intern to support our Denver event staff through the summer of 2025. The best candidate will be high-energy, self-motivated and directed, and eager to learn within a fun team and atmosphere.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Developing and managing project schedules, including working with individuals to collect schedule data and reporting on this information to staff, clients and vendors.
Project tracking and reporting using tools for internal project management and external project coordination with clients and vendors.
Support event planning by assisting with administrative functions, such as scheduling meetings, ordering supplies/equipment, creating presentations, task coordination and follow up.
Researching commodities and vendors in designated areas and present findings with recommendations on selection.
Facilitate with vendors for order placement, information gathering and invoicing of the client.
Tracking and managing vendor invoicing.
Coordinating staff, vendors for their event credential requirements.
Coordination of detailed schedules, delivery operations, load-in/load-out planning and operations.
Support for event operations on site at events, including office duties, packing/unpacking of supplies, delivering items around the event site, supporting day-to-day sport operations.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: Previous event related project management experience, a plus.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Excellent organization skills and efficiency in time management.
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to be flexible to manage shifting priorities, project requirements, demands, and timelines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as appropriate and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced understanding of Excel/database relationships and Smartsheet, a plus.
Technical Savvy - quick to pick up new tools/software/platforms.
EDUCATION: Current college student in Sports Management, Sports Business or related fields.
OTHER: Travel may be required.
Overtime may be necessary.
COMPENSATION: The pay rate for this opportunity is $26/hour.
