We are partnering with our client that manufactures lift trucks in order to help them find a direct hire Embedded Software Engineer to join their team.

Position Highlight:

• Full Time Direct Hire onsite role in Portland, OR
• Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Background Requirements:

• MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder to apply
• BS Electrical Engineering/ Computer Engineering / Computer Science
• Four years firmware development experience in C programming language
• Experience in electrical, embedded control systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with RTOS
• Familiarity with C development in Linux environment
• CAN bus systems (SAE-J1939 or CANOpen) experience
• Ability to read schematics and use oscilloscopes/DMMs
• Interest in industrial equipment (materials handling, automotive, agricultural, construction, or similar)

• Occasional travel may be required (less than 10% total time)

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded control software in C/C++
• Simulate, verify, and test developed software to ensure it meets technology requirements
• Develop system and component level requirements from truck level requirements
• Participate in and/or lead code and design reviews
• Ability to mentor and lead entry level engineers
