Responsibilities include guiding patients through crises, diagnosing psychological disorders, highlighting problematic patterns that need to be changed, improving communication, and assisting patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors.

You must be a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with at least 1-3 years of experience administering therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Compensation:

$48 - $65 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Perform intake and needs assessments for individuals, significant others, and family members through testing, interviews, observations, and conversation sessions
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of patients in compliance with facility and license requirements
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient
  • Use Gottman and other evidence-based assessment tools
  • Plan, carry out, and assess therapeutic treatment for each client
  • Paid to document client records accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility and licensing standards
  • Attend and participate in weekly scheduled Clinical Team meetings
  • Compensated to contribute to the practice by generating blogs on clinical topics
  • Network with community resources
  • Reimbursed annually for approved trainings
  • Provided paid monthly in-service trainings for continued education for license

Qualifications:
  • Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or the equivalent is required
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree
  • Must have 1-3 years of marriage and family therapy experience in a clinical setting
  • CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, are needed

Required

  • Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Registered and licensed with DORA
  • Certified or Trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, or willing to get trained
  • Certified or Trained in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral
  • Therapy, Trauma therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapies, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to relate well to adults of all different backgrounds and orientations
  • Hard-working, responsible, wise, compassionate, always learning
  • Passionate about working with couples and curious about people and healing
  • Able to work at least one evening or one weekend day/evening

Preferred:

  • Certified or Trained in EMDR
  • Certified as a Sex Therapist
  • Certified or Trained in Addiction treatment, especially sexual addiction, betrayal trauma
