Title: Site Development CAD Designer/Technician

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Schedule: Onsite, 5 days a week

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of experience within Site Development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience within construction details (Surfaces, Alignments, and Profiles).

• Surfaces : Creating and managing 3D representations of terrain or other surfaces.
• Alignments : Designing and managing horizontal alignments, such as pipelines.
• Profiles : Creating vertical profiles that show the elevation of a surface along a specific path or alignment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or formal education
• Experience with site development for large scale structures/buildings.

Overview: Insight Global is seeking a Site Development CAD Designer to join a civil engineering firm in Indianapolis. This firm specializes in the construction and design of large-scale facilities across the manufacturing, industrial, and educational sectors. The CAD Designer will gain exposure to multiple projects simultaneously each month and will be expected to meet deadlines. They will work collaboratively with Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure project deadlines are met. This person will be expected to prepare construction documents, ensuring that these drawings guide the construction process.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Create detailed drawings of site layout start to finish.
• Collaborate with engineers on constriction plans.
• Conduct site visits to gather data.
