Position Summary:
This position serves as the primary liaison between Bone and Joint Institute and WMC/Community physician partners.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration or other related field.
Workplace Experience:
Previous experience required in physician relations and medical practice business development
Equipment and Skills Training:
Computer software experience: Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Experience with database programs a plus.
Physical Environment:
Medical office environment and community events.
Physical Effort:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged period of time. Must exhibit strong communication skills--both verbal and written.
Key Results:
Serves as contact for physician outreach activities; including office visits, scheduling speakers, screenings, and health fairs. Weekends may be required for some events.
Serves as organizer of events (both internal and external) to support physician relations.
Responsible for acquiring in-depth knowledge of functions and attributes of BJIT for the ongoing advancement of community and physician outreach support through screenings and promotional activities.
Regularly reviews physician office visits and metrics.
Coordinates and supports the activities of BJIT outreach programs, including staff scheduling and promotions.
Monitors relationships and/or sponsorships with disease-related associations (AHA, ACS, etc.) to ensure service line alignment and ROI.
Utilizes community outreach opportunities to identify opportunities for physician outreach program growth and/or improvement.
Maintains image, brand and message control through all aspects of outreach efforts.
Maintains cost-effectiveness and budget parameters with regard to assigned projects
Supports the marketing specialist with the coordination of film shoots and other activities related to the production of broadcast campaigns, as needed.
Conducts facility tours and new physician orientations.
Maintains appropriate documentation and files related to job responsibilities, including physician promotion schedules.
