Job Title: Business Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Business Analyst to join our team. With razor-sharp instincts and technical aptitude, the individual in this role will expedite our ability to put ground-breaking prior authorizations solutions into the hands of healthcare providers. Given the cross-functional nature of this role, we’re looking for a natural collaborator with excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills who can bridge the gap between technical and business teams. This position requires a detailed understanding of technical stacks, user needs, and business strategy.

This role is pivotal in shaping a new-to-market product that will revolutionize how providers manage and process prior authorizations, ultimately enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. Together with our various business units, the work our team does ultimately helps people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives. 

What You'll Do

As a Business Analyst your daily to-do’s will shift with business needs, but here’s a snapshot of what to expect:

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather and define product requirements. Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed, actionable specifications and functional requirements for engineering teams.
  • Refinement: Support and collaborate with the development teams to refine and elaborate on requirements / user stories throughout the development life cycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Involve, engage, and influence stakeholders from diverse teams and disciplines to foster alternative perspectives and explore unconventional solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the product team, user experience teams, technology, and other stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication. Facilitate conversations to define product or feature details and document clearly to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Project Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including information management, requirement changes, process flow diagrams, system documentation, and functional specifications.
  • Quality Assurance Support: Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure product quality and functionality align with user expectations and business requirements.
  • Derive Value from Insights: Identify and prioritize the most valuable and actionable insights, data and feedback from stakeholders. Reduce project risks through identification, research, and awareness.
  • Prioritize: Debate, Decide, and Commit to determine the sequence and importance of tasks, features, or initiatives based on their relative value, impact, and urgency. 

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Equivalent Experience with 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven track record as a Business Analyst in a product development environment, preferably in healthcare
  • Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., Agile, waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) a plus
  • Experience with SMART on FHIR a plus
  • Passion for healthcare innovation and improving patient outcomes

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$82,400 - $137,400
