Our client, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join their team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be an essential part of the Billing Department supporting the transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Billing Specialist

Location: Gainesville, GA

Pay Range:

Shift: Monday - Friday 8-5

What's the Job?

• Review and analyze carrier freight bills to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential errors and duplicate billing issues.
• Facilitate the billing process of orders to customers, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers to gather necessary documentation.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency of the billing cycle from freight bill to customer payment.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable, load planning, or transportation/logistics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to develop a working understanding of internal technologies used for daily functions.
