JOB DESCRIPTION
They are seeking an associate to join the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group in their Pittsburgh office. The associate will work closely with senior shareholders on the full spectrum of bankruptcy cases and projects for clients.
RESPONSIBILITES:
* Support the general Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice;
* Support clients in broad and varied areas of law;
* Draft and negotiate forbearance agreements, bankruptcy plans, and corporate documents;
* Make regular court appearances in bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships, and related litigation;
* Assume borrower representation in financing transactions;
* Prepare motions, briefs, plans and other bankruptcy documents;
* Assist in preparation of expert reports and mediation statements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* License to practice law in Pennsylvania;
* Degree from an accredited law school;
* 2 years' experience;
* Commercial Experience a bonus;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on developing thoughtful and persuasive messaging;
* Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced work environment;
* Strong organizational, time management, and project management mindset;
* Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork;
* A strong drive to provide proactive, client-focused legal services.

* Experience using practice areas specific software;
* Experience with business development and direct client contact;
* Experience with direct client contact;
* Experience with iManage document management system;
* Experience filing court documents, electronically preferred.
