Job Description As part of an accredited and approved audiology doctorate program, participates collaboratively and under supervision in various hearing aid dispensary activities. Assists in administering a variety of audiological tests to evaluate, diagnose and treat hearing and balance disorders. Job Responsibility Performs minor repairs to amplification devices during dispensary walk in hours. Takes ear mold impressions, dispenses ear molds, programs and dispenses hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Provides hearing aid and assistive listening device assistance and education to outpatients. Replenishes hearing aid related inventory/stock items as required; conducts inventory checks. Verifies invoices against shipments received, stores product in appropriate locations. Assists in administering a variety of audiological tests to evaluate, diagnose and treat hearing disorders. Maintains control records of invoices, products and items shipped. Updates manufacturers' software, as needed. Assists with monthly dispensary room reviews; assures each room is stocked with appropriate supplies and patient literature. Manages NBHS log and counsels family on results. Participates in all audiology appointments with preceptors. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification Bachelor Degree, required or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Enrollment in an Audiology Doctoral program, required.
