**Job Summary:** Repsonsible for managing and stabilizing patient's behavior during the course of audiology testing, which can range from 15 minutes to one hour in duration. Works with the audiologist so that the patient is readied and prepared for all appropriate testing. Will also work with parents of the patients. Seeks cues from the patient as to place in optimal positioning, which can involve physicially containing the child for testing. (These responsibilities may represent approximately 60% of tasks performed). The remaining 40% of tasks performed involve the management and maintenance of patient files, answering phones, scheduling of appointments, the handling of questions, computer work, and filing of patient charts. **Job Requirements:** **Education:** High school diploma/GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred. **Experience:** Previous experience in child behavioral management (6-12 months preferred). Basic office/clerical experience. **Skills/Abilities** : Basic record and bookkeeping skills. Good communication skills. Must be flexible and sensitive to people and situations. Able to multi-task. Basic proficiency with personal computers, copy machines and fax machines. **Physical Requirements:** Sit: Up to 6 hours/day Stand/Walk: Up to 6 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE: Up to 6 hours Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and/or instruction.
