Position Purpose Provides art therapy services as well as additional experiential therapy to patients. Documents provision of services according to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Programs and facilitates therapeutic activities for all patient population groups. Document provision of services according to regulatory and organizational standards. Assists in PI development. Assist in maintaining recreational supplies and equipment needed for art therapy activities. Provide direction and maintains responsibility for the quality of art therapy services offered on assigned units. Maintains a good working relationship with other departments in the hospital. Ensures hospital policy and procedures are implemented. Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong verbal, written, and communication skills. Creative programming and ability to modify recreational activities to suit children, adolescents, and adults in a psychiatric setting. Education Master’s in Counseling or Master’s in Creative Art Therapy Licensure / Certification LPC and ATR or ATR-BC Experience Must have at least 1 year of experience working in an acute inpatient behavioral health facility, as well as experience providing art therapy programming to children, adolescents, and adults.
