Role Overview :
This senior-level Archaeology position administers one or more of the following programs on behalf of FHWA and/or INDOT: Archaeological Geophysics and/or Tribal Consultation.
The position also supports INDOT's archaeology program, oversees artifact curation and records management, conducts archaeological research, and reviews and evaluates archaeological reports for content and format to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
Applicants should have experience in interpreting and applying Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and MUST meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards as per 36 CFR Part 61. This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office, Environmental Services Department.
Salary :
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $59,800.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
