What does an Arborist, Pruner, Groundsman do?
- Assist in completing pruning work on client properties. Including but not limited to, Tree Pruning, Tree Removal, Shrub pruning, Mulch installation, and Stump grinding.
- Work in a team environment as well as efficiently on your own
- Operate small engine equipment: chain saws, shears, string trimmer, etc.
- Communicate with clients regarding process and expectations of services needed and performed.
Requirements
Forestry, or related fields is a plus, as is industry experience. However, if you have a willingness to learn, both on the job and at home, we have a training program in place that will help you acquire the skills needed to succeed in this industry. Other necessities needed to carry out this type of work are:
- Good physical ability
- Respect of safety/heights
- Be a team player
- Ability to to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull objects while walking 3 miles a day or more
- Ability to climb and work aloft
- Ability to obtain DOT certification
- Valid driver's license required
A job as a Ryan Arborist you will work with fellow associates to create a healthy urban forest one client at a time. Our Arborists are individuals trained in the art and science of maintaining and caring for trees and shrubs, as well as improving their health.
