Flexible Scheduling Options: Minimum Requirement: Two shifts per work week . Shifts typically operate from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM local time . Full-Time: Minimum 30+ hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package. Part-Time: Minimum of 2 shifts per week with paid sick time accrual. Some on-call or weekend coverage may be needed, but you will be notified in advance to accommodate your personal commitments. Why Join OWP? Utilize advanced clinical tools, including EHR systems and workflow resources to enhance efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds. Perform sharp and excisional debridement, NPWT management, and tissue biopsies. Monitor healing progress, adjust therapies based on outcomes, and follow advanced wound healing protocols. Provide wound care education and preventive training to patients, caregivers, and facility staff. Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant records in EHR systems. Travel daily to multiple care sites to ensure seamless patient care throughout California. Assist in optimizing workflows and team training to support expansion efforts. Qualifications: Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Active, unrestricted medical license in California. Board certification in a relevant specialty (Surgery preferred; OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine also accepted). Minimum of 3-6 years of clinical practice in wound care or related fields. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Reliable transportation and a valid California driver’s license. Preferred: Wound Care Certification (CWSP, CWS) or ability to obtain within six months. DEA registration for prescriptive authority (preferred but not required). Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or home health settings. Proficiency with EHR systems and efficiency tools. California Regulatory & Compliance Requirements: California prohibits corporations from employing physicians to practice medicine, except in certain cases. Physicians must obtain a DEA license for prescribing controlled substances. As of January 1, 2025, licensed physicians must earn a minimum hourly rate to qualify for overtime exemption. 50 CME hours every two years are required, including topics on pain management and opioid prescribing.
