Description

ABS Trader positions offered by DoubleLine Group LP (Los Angeles, California). Responsible for generating new trading ideas and/or buying and selling recommendations to the team. Make investment recommendations by underwriting ABS securities through credit analysis, asset evaluation, structuring, and scenario analysis for various company investment mandates. Support Structured Credit Portfolio Manager/ABS Team with primary and secondary ABS trading, build relationships with Investment Banks and trading teams to foster idea generation and deal flow, and develop and share ideas with fixed income trading teams. Build cash flow models for various ABS transactions ranging from aircraft, student loans, consumer and whole business transactions, and assist in risk and cash management of ABS investment portfolios.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and 5 years of experience working in an investment management environment focused on ABS analytics. All 5 years of experience must include:

• Building Excel cashflow models for ABS transactions collateralized by consumer and commercial assets;

• Reviewing, comparing and contrasting transaction documentation including offering memorandums, hedging agreements, trustee reports and financial statements directly related to consumer and commercial ABS investments;

• Running scenarios and isolating key variables to run Intex models to determine risk/return outcomes of ABS investments;


• Engaging in data analytics, including working with large data sets and distilling down into consumable reports for investment teams, to identify trends and spot anomalies; and


• Populating and manipulating SQL systems, and using VBA and Excel, in support of securitized investments.

We are offering a salary of $130,000 to $150,000 per year.
